Project: Thinking outside of the mailbox

Client: Wallpaper

Venue: Milan Salone Satellite Furniture Fair

We worked with client Wallpaper to produce a wall and mirrored shelf as per their design. The client then took this to Milan for an exhibition at the Salone Satellite Furniture Fair in Milan, Italy.

The front of the wall was constructed from silver mailboxes. The MDF wall was gloss laminated and had a di-bond floating shelf and di-bond brackets.

This structure was inspired by the letters of Madame Barbe-Nicole Clicquot, the owner of champagne house Veuve Clicquot. She took ownership of the house from 1805 to 1866 and was known for encouraging people to ‘invent the things of tomorrow… go before others, be determined and exacting… let your intelligence direct your life. Act with audacity.’
